Authorities have now identified a Wadena man, as the person who died last week in a motorcycle accident in Linn County.


According to the Robins Police Department, 57 year old Ricky Davis of Wadena was the driver of the motorcycle, that went out of control and crashed in the city of Robins.

It happened last Friday (Sept. 4) at about 4pm on North Center Point Road and Chester Road. A vehicle made a U-turn in front of two motorcycles. The first bike avoided a collision, but the second motorcycle, driven by Davis, crashed into the side of the vehicle.

Davis was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but died about 7 hours later. Authorities finally released his name on Wednesday.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 17 year old William Pardubsky of Cedar Rapids; he was not injured.

The investigation into the accident continues. Robins Police were assisted at the scene by the Linn County Sheriff's Office and the Hiawatha Police Department.
