Unusual Stop; Iowa DOT Stops Truck With Homemade Plates [PHOTO]

One thing's for sure, Iowa DOT Motor Vehicle Enforcement is certainly becoming my new favorite Facebook page!

Not only does the page keep you up to date about statewide driving conditions during storms, and educates drivers on road laws and safety, but it also shares some of the crazy things drivers try to get away with.

Some of these things that drivers try to get away with really shock me. But in other instances, such as the last post I shared, I am just shocked by the creativity to get a job done in one trip.

Today I came across a post from Iowa DOT Motor Vehicle Enforcement that really makes you wonder, what was this driver thinking!

It seems like a truck driving through Iowa had homemade plates on it. Yes, homemade from mailbox lettering.

The photo was shared on Facebook with some advice to drivers saying;

Want to know a quick way to get pulled over? Make a license plate out of the same numbers and letters as your mailbox...

So if you were thinking about making your own license plate anytime soon, just know that it probably won't end well.

But, I guess it was a good effort.
