U.S. Army Honors Craig Morgan With Civilian Service Medal

Craig Morgan, who served in the United States Army for nearly 20 years, was honored Saturday (June 23) with one of the force’s highest civilian awards: The Outstanding Civilian Service Medal.

The award was presented to Morgan in recognition of his dedication to entertaining troops and their families around the world. Morgan just returned to the U.S. after completing his 10th USO Tour to entertain U.S. military members stationed overseas

Following the ceremony, which was held in Huntington Beach, Calif., Morgan sat down for an interview with Fox & Friends' Pete Hegseth, and marveled that he never thought he'd get a civilian award.

"I was honored and proud to accept that medal on behalf of all the people that work tirelessly and effortlessly for our men and women serving," he told the outlet, adding that it has been "humbling" to serve them in return.

"When you're around those people that serve, they have a special gene in them, this sense of service. It's just such an honor to be around them and to share that.”

Morgan is also giving back to veterans in his day-to-day business, having recently opened his own storefront the Gallery at Morgan Farms in Dickson, Tenn. While he and his family run the store, they are committed to helping those who have served our country by hiring them to work at the family store.
