Two Northeast Iowa residents are in the hospital, following a three-vehicle accident in rural Linn County.

It happened just before 7am Saturday on Highway 13, near Center Point.

An SUV driven by 18 year old Maria Meyerhoff of Delhi, apparently crossed the center line, and struck an oncoming car driven by 40 year old Tommy Fuller of Postville.

Meyerhoff's vehicle then collided with another oncoming suv, driven by 32 year old Sasha Betzer of Central City.

According to the Linn County Sheriff, Meyerhoff was not wearing a seatbelt; she was seriously injured. Meyerhoff was aircared to University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Betzer also was seriously hurt; she was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Fuller and his two passengers refused treatment.

The Linn County sheriff is investigating the accident.
