Teen Rolls Car While Trying to Pass Another

A young motorist is being cited for causing a one-vehicle accident in Fayette County.
At about 6:30pm Saturday (Aug. 27), the Fayette County Sheriff got a report of a traffic accident on Juniper Road, northeast of Eldorado.

Investigating deputies determined that a 17 year old girl was driving a car southbound on Juniper, when she tried to pass another vehicle. She lost control of the car, and rolled it several times into a ditch.

The teen, whose name was not released, was taken to the West Union hospital for treatment; a condition report was not available.

The juvenile was charged with failure to maintain control.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted by the Ossian Fire Department.
