Starmont Employee Arrested For Sexual Relationship With Student

A Starmont School District employee is accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female student.

Fayette County Sheriff's officials arrested 29-year-old Joshua Brown of Lamont this week on four felony counts of sexual exploitation by a school employee, following a month-long investigation. According to authorities, investigators found that a sexual relationship had taken place over the last two months.

Brown turned himself in to sheriff's officials on Thursday. He was booked into jail on a $10,000 warrant, then bonded out. He is scheduled to a appear later in court.

In a news release, sheriff's officials said has been employed by Starmont Schools for over seven years as a contract IT staff member.
