‘Spiral’ is a Horror Movie About a Small Town Iowa Bachelor Party

Have you heard of the movie 'Spiral'? I found a trailer for this horror flick which features a bachelor party in a small Iowa town.

I found this trailer on Vimeo which shows a little bit of what you can expect from 'Spiral'. Be warned there's some slightly NSFW video and language here. Here's the synopsis:

A group of twenty something friends reunite in small town Iowa for a bachelor party.

I thought this was a new movie, but IMDb shows it came out back in 2018. Where have I been? It doesn't appear the movie was very well received. Horror Movie Talk rated it a 2 out of 10 saying "I would suggest you be heavily intoxicated on any viewing of this film. Outside a some very curious film students or film professors, I can’t imagine enjoying this sober.". Ouch.

Nerdly in the UK gave it a 4 out of 5 which is a passing grade. The compliment the director Joe Clarke saying "for my money Clarke has gone a really long way here on what I assume is a pretty low budget."

Scariest Things watched 'Spiral' and ended up completely confused by the end of the movie. When you can confuse a horror movie website, that's quite an accomplishment.

The new share of this trailer makes me wonder if 'Spiral' is getting a wider release. As for now, it's worth a search on Amazon and iTunes to see if a rental is worth it for you about this very Iowa bachelor party horror flick.
