Sheriff Reports a Rollover, a Car vs Deer, and an OWI

A Fairbank motorist is being charged after a one-vehicle accident.

At about 11am Saturday, the Fayette County Sheriff was called to a rollover accident on Willow Road, just north of Fairbank. 22 year old Nicholas McClain was driving a Ford Explorer southbound, when he lost control, driving into the ditch, where the suv rolled, coming to rest on it's wheels. McClain was not hurt, but the vehicle was totaled. He is being charged with failure to have a valid license or permit.

The Fayette County Sheriff reports a car vs deer accident, that happened late last Friday night, west of Clermont on Highway 18. A car driven by 45 year old John Branzell of McGregor collided with a deer on the highway. No one was hurt, but there was $3,500 in damage.

A Clermont man has been arrested for driving while intoxicated. On Tuesday, a Fayette County deputy pulled over a car on an equipment violation. After further investigating, the driver, 71 year old John Bennet, was arrested for owi 2nd offense. He was held until his initial appearance.
