Some area school districts are delaying the start of classes today, due to winter weather.
Slick roads are creating travel problems during the morning commute, and extremely cold temperatures have settled in across the Iowa. A wind chill advisory is in effect for the entire state until noon Saturday for wind chills ranging from -15° to -30°.
Below is the list of school announcements for Friday, Feb. 12, 2021.

Dunkerton : Delayed 2 hours
Green Mountain-Garwin: Delayed 2 hours
Independence (including St. John's): St. John's - CLOSED; Independence - Delayed 2 hours; No early out; No morning activities
Janesville: Delayed 2 hours
Jesup (inc. St. Athanasius): Delayed 2 hours
North Butler: Delayed 2 hours; No morning activities
Northeast Iowa Community College - Oelwein Center: NO CLASSES
Oelwein: CLOSED
Wapsie Valley (including Community Lutheran): Delayed 2 hours
