The Mega Millions jackpot for tonight's drawing is nearing a ridiculous total. Would $810 million provide you with enough financial security? Many of us are buying a ticket or tickets. Many workplaces are pooling their funds to better their odds. But the owner of a popular fast food chain is taking that strategy to a whole new level!

The founder of Raising Cane's, Todd Graves, is having some fun with the Mega Millions drawing scheduled for later tonight. According to 9News, Graves purchased 50,000 Mega Millions tickets. What does the owner of a huge restaurant franchise need with more money? Nothing. If any of the winning tickets happen to hit the jackpot, the money will be split evenly between all 50,000 Raising Cane's employees. I'll let you do the math, but even after taxes, that would be a nice little bonus for every person who works at a Raising Cane's location.

Tonight's jackpot is the fourth largest lottery jackpot in history. The biggest jackpot ever remains the Powerball prize from 2016 which reached $1.586 billion. So how many tickets will this radio disc jockey buy? One. While I've always allowed myself to dream of what having a lot of money would mean for my family, I'm a firm believer in that if it is meant to happen, it only takes one ticket. Not 10, or 50, or 50,000. One. Like the old Iowa Lottery slogan says, "You can't win if you don't play!"

Raising Cane's has Iowa locations in Coralville, Cedar Falls, Davenport, Altoona, West Des Moines, and Council Bluffs. You better believe they'll be tuned in to tonight's drawing!
