Oelwein Police Look Into Vehicle Theft, Vandalism and Burglary
Police are looking for a somewhat unique vehicle that was stolen from the northwest side of Oelwein last night (Tuesday, March 20).
Oelwein Police received a report of a yellow, 2004 Chevrolet SSR, taken from the 100 block of 10th Avenue NW. The theft report was received at about 7:30pm. No other details were released. The investigation continues.
Oelwein Police are also investigating a burglary and some vandalism. The criminal mischief was reported at about 6pm from the 100 block of 5th Avenue SE. The break-in was called in to police at 6:14pm, from the 300 block of 4th Avenue SE in Oelwein.
No other information was released, and both of those incidents remain under investigation.
