PUBLIC SERVICE NOTICE: The traditional fall clean-up deadline at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in rural Oelwein is approaching. Anyone who wants to keep their summer grave decorations or eternal lights should remove them before Friday, Oct. 15. Cemetery staff is scheduled to remove all remaining decorations on Saturday, Oct. 16, when the vases will be turned down for the winter. Anyone with a shepherd's hook can use it to place winter decorations on the grave starting Nov. 1. Shepherd's hooks that won't be used for winter decorations should be taken home for the season.

Services for Dave Munchoff, 79, formerly of Lansing, are Saturday, Oct. 16 at 11 AM at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in Lansing. Burial will follow at Oakhill Cemetery, also in Lansing. Visitation is Friday from 5 PM to 7 PM and Saturday for one hour before the start of services at the funeral home.

Services for Edna Drewis of Osage, and formerly of New Hampton, are Saturday, Oct. 16 at 3 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton. Burial at New Hampton Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday for one hour before the start of services at the church. Conway-Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton is entrusted with arrangements.

Joint services for David Usgaard and Amy Usgaard, 59, of Decorah, are Saturday, Oct. 16 at 11 AM at Decorah Lutheran Church. Visitation is Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM and Saturday from 10 AM until the start of services at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah. David Usgaard died on April 5, 2020. Amy Usgaard died on Aug. 2, 2021.

Judy Fleshner, 77, of Decorah, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday from 4 to 7 PM at Schluter-Balik Funeral Home in Decorah. Private family burial at Madison Lutheran Cemetery, rural Decorah.

Services for Robert Hemann, 90, of Stacyville, are Saturday, Oct. 16 at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Ortuary in Meyer, Iowa. Burial at Visitation Cemetery in Stacyville, with military rites by Stacyville American Legion Post 569. Visitation is Saturday from 10 AM to 11 Am at Sacred Heart Ortuary. Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage is in charge of arrangements.

Services for Dedra Long, 60, of Manchester and formerly of Dundee, are Sunday, Nov. 7 at 1:30 PM at Manchester United Methodist Church in Manchester. Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester is assisting the family.

Lois Friedrich-Flugge, 92, of Elma died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021. Arrangements are pending with Conway-Markham Funeral Home in Elma.
