PUBLIC SERVICE NOTICE: The traditional fall clean-up deadline at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in rural Oelwein is approaching. Anyone who wants to keep their summer grave decorations or eternal lights should remove them before Friday, Oct. 15. Cemetery staff is scheduled to remove all remaining decorations on Saturday, Oct. 16, when the vases will be turned down for the winter. Anyone with a shepherd's hook can use it to place winter decorations on the grave starting Nov. 1. Shepherd's hooks that won't be used for winter decorations should be taken home for the season.

A Mass of Christian Burial for IvaNell (Kenneally) Dinan, 100, of Elkader, will be held Monday, Oct. 18 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elkader. Burial immediately following the funeral mass at the church cemetery. Visitation is Monday for one hour prior to the funeral mass at the church. Leonard-Grau Funeral Home in Elkader is assisting the family.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 PM to 7 PM at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City and Wednesday one hour before the start of services at the church.

Services for Randy Evans, 65, of Nashua, are Monday, Oct. 18 at 1 PM at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home - Olson Chapel in Nashua. Burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Nashua following services. Friends may greet the family Monday from 11 AM to 1 PM at the funeral home.

Services for Lois Friedrich-Flugge, 92, of Elma, are Saturday, Oct. 16 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul's Maple Leaf Lutheran Church in Elma. Burial at the church cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM and Saturday for one hour prior the start of services at the church. Conway-Markham Funeral Home in Elma is handling the arrangements.
