Sept. 2 funeral announcements

Services for an Arlington man, 71 year old David "Dave" Turner, are Friday at 10:30am at Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Arlington, with military honors. Visitation is 4-7pm Thursday and an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.

A Decorah man, 85 year old Paul "Dick" Headington, died August 29th. A private family graveside service will be held Saturday at Russell cemetery in rural Decorah. Fjelstul funeral home in Decorah is assisting the family.

A Decorah woman, 86 year old Margaret McConnell, died Tuesday. A private family service will be held at St. Bridget's Catholic church in Bluffton. Burial in the church cemetery. Schluter Balik funeral home is handling the arrangements.

A celebration of life for a New Hampton woman, 71 year old Wanda Batchelder, will be Friday, September 11th, 5-7pm on the patio of Hugeback Johnson funeral home. In case of rain it will be moved indoors.

Services for a Wadena woman, 91 year old Gertrude "Gert" Lee, will be private, with immediate family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Services for a Charles City woman, 83 year old Marjorie "Marj" Barth, are Wednesday at 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Charles City. Burial in St. Mary's (Rose Hill) cemetery in Greene. Visitation is 5-7pm Tuesday at Hauser Weishaar funeral home in Charles City with a 6:30pm scripture service, and an hour before services at the church.

A Charles City woman, 93 year old Myrtle Albrecht, died Sunday. A private family funeral will be held at Hauser Weishaar funeral home in Charles City, with it live streamed on the funeral home's Facbook page at 10:30am Thursday. Burial in Rose Hill cemetery in Greene. Visitation is 5-7pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Services for an Independence woman, 81 year old Gloria Hummel, are Friday at 10am at White funeral home in Independence. Burial in Mt. Hope cemetery. Visitation is 5-7pm Thursday at the funeral home.
