A celebration of life for an Elkader woman, 88 year old Verna Kuehl, as well as for her son Douglas who died in August, will be held Thursday at 11am at Peace United Church of Christ in Elkader. Inurnment at a later date in Eastside cemetery in Elkader. Visitation is from 9am until service time Thursday at the church. Leonard Grau funeral home in Elkader is assisting the family.

A New Hampton woman died Tuesday; services for 97 year old Fern Dungey, are pending at Conway Markham funeral home in New Hampton.

Services for an Osage man, 82 year old Howard Newstrom, are Thursday at 11am at Champion Bucheit funeral home in Osage. Visitation is an hour before services.

Services for a Cresco man, 89 year old Nestor Reicks, are Thursday at 11am at Notre Dame Catholic church in Cresco. Burial in Calvary cemetery. Visitation is 4-7pm Wednesday at Hindt Hudek funeral home in Cresco, and an hour before services at the church.

Services for a Ryan man, 74 year old Gerald Lyness, are Friday at 10:30am at St. Patrick Catholic church in Ryan. Inurnment in Calvary cemetery in Ryan. Visitation is 2-8pm Thursday at the church, with a 2pm scripture service, and from 9:30am to 10:15am Friday at the church.

Services for a Charles City man, 91 year old Donald "Don" Reiher, are today, Wednesday at 11am at Hauser funeral home in Charles City. Visitation is from 9:30am until service time at the funeral home.

Services for a Sumner man, 86 year old Donald Leyh, are Thursday at 11am at St. John Lutheran church in Sumner. A private family Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation is 4-7pm Wednesday at S.K. Rogers funeral home in Sumner.

Services for a former Readlyn woman, 86 year old Delores Sauerbrei of Fairbank, are Thursday at 10:30am at St. Matthew's Lutheran church in Readlyn. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-7pm Wednesday at Kaiser Corson funeral home in Readlyn and an hour before services at the church.

Services for a Coggon man, 82 year old John Heffernen, are Thursday at 10:30am at St. John Catholic church in Coggon. Burial with military rites in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Visitation is 4-7pm Wednesday at Leonard Muller funeral home in Manchester, with a 4pm scripture, and an hour before services at the church.

Services for a Sumner woman, 70 year old Janice Vorthmann, are Friday at 11am at St. Paul Lutheran Congregation in Tripoli. Burial in St. John Lutheran church cemetery in Sumner. Visitation is 4-7pm Thursday at Becker Milnes funeral home in Sumner, and an hour before services at the church.

Services for an Edgewood man, 84 year old Robert "Bob" Lahr, are Wednesday at 10:30am at St. Mark Catholic church in Edgewood. Burial with military rites in the church cemetery. Visitation is an hour before services at the church.

A Decorah woman, 88 year old Miriam Motley, died Dec. 20th. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Fjelstul funeral home in Decorah is serving the family.

A Celebration of Life for a Denver man, 65 year old Richard "Smitty" Smith, will be held Thursday from 4pm to 8pm at the Willow Run Country Club in Denver. A private burial will be held at a later date. Kaiser Corson funeral home in Denver is Assisting the family.
