Oct. 27 funeral announcements

Services for a Janesville man, 27 year old Nickolaus Nisius, are Thursday at 10am at Kaiser Corson funeral home in Waverly. It will be live streamed on the funeral home's Facebook page. Burial in Bethel Reformed cemetery in rural Aplington. Visitation is 4-7pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

An Independence man, 80 year old Dennis Vance, died October 20th. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. White funeral home in Independence is in charge of arrangements.

An Edgewood woman, 98 year old LaVera Schenke, died Monday. A private family memorial service will be held Friday at Leonard Muller funeral home in Edgewood. Burial in Zion cemetery in Colesburg.

A Charles City woman, 85 year old Mildred Perry, died Sunday. A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, 2-4pm at Hauser Weishaar funeral home in Charles City.

A Floyd man, 89 year old Stephen "Steve" Sargent, died Sunday. A private family funeral service will be held, with burial in Oakwood cemetery in Floyd. Hauser Weishaar funeral home in Charles City is in charge of arrangements.

A Winthrop woman, 100 year old Dorothy Gilson, died Monday. A private family funeral service will be held at Fawcett Schmitz funeral home in Winthrop. Burial in Fremont cemetery in rural Winthrop. A public visitation will be Thursday, 4-6:30pm at the funeral home.

A Charles City woman, 94 year old Judith "Judy" Easterly, died Saturday. A visitation will be held Wednesday, 6:30-8pm at Hauser Weishaar funeral home in Charles City. A family-only service will be held Thursday at the Colwell United church of Christ.

An Elkader woman, 71 year old Kay Troester, died Monday. Graveside services will be Thursday at 11am at East Side cemetery in Elkader. Leonard Grau funeral home in Elkader is assisting the family.

A former Maynard woman, 87 year old Lois Miller of Fayette, died Monday. Private family services will be held at Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Maynard. Burial in National Memorial cemetery of Arizona, in Phoenix.
