Nov. 10 funeral announcements

An Independence woman, 91 year old Dorotha Sundquist, died Nov. 4. A visitation will be held Friday, 9a to 10:30am at White Funeral home in Independence. A service will immediately follow. Burial at Rock Island Arsenal in Rock Island, Illinois.

A Dorchester man, 78 year old Alvin Behn, died Oct. 27th. A visitation will be Saturday, 10am to 2pm at Fjelstul funeral home in Decorah, followed by a private family service.

Services for a Charles City woman, 84 year old Rita Mehmen, are Thursday at 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Charles City. Burial in Calvary cemetery. Visitation is 5-7pm Wednesday at Hauser Weishaar funeral home in Charles City, and an hour before services at the church.

An Oelwein man, 70 year old James Bentley, died Monday. A celebration of life will be held Friday, beginning at 3pm, at Jimmy's home on Outer Road. Geilenfeld Buehner funeral home in Oelwein is assisting the family.

Services for a New Hampton woman, 90 year old Anna Whitnable, are Saturday, November 14th, at 10:30am at Holy Family Parish in New Hampton. Burial in Howard cemetery in Elma. Visitation is 4-7pm this Friday, November 13th at Conway Markham funeral home in New Hampton, with a Scripture Wake at 7pm, and an hour before services at the church.

A Plainfield woman, 81 year old Geneva Weiss, died Friday. A family funeral service will be held Saturday at Hugeback Johnson funeral home-Olson Chapel in Nashua. Burial in Oak Hill cemetery in Nashua.

Services for a New Hampton woman, 31 year old Amparo Ortiz, are Friday at 11am at Holy Family Catholic church in New Hampton. Friends may call an hour before services at the church. Hugeback Johnson funeral home in New Hampton is handling the arrangements.
