June 2 funeral announcements

A Fredericksburg woman, 98 year old Bernice Davis, died Monday. Services are pending at Hugeback Johnson funeral home in Fredericksburg.

An Independence man, 66 year old Jerry "Hoskie" Hoskins, died Thursday. Private funeral services will be held Monday, June 8th, at White funeral home in Independence. Visitation is 1-6pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial at a later date in Mt. Hope cemetery.

Services for a Strawberry point man, 97 year old Vincent Kenneally, are Friday at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic church in Strawberry Point. Burial with military rites in the church cemetery. Visitation is 3-6pm Thursday at Leonard Muller funeral home in Strawberry Point, with a 3pm scripture, and an hour before services at the church.

A Charles City woman, 97 year old Velma Schlick, died Saturday. A private service will be held, with a public memorial celebration of life to be held at a later date. Hauser Weishaar funeral home in Charles City is in charge of arrangements.

A Strawberry Point area man, Everett "J.R." Willis junior died Saturday. Services are pending at Leonard Muller funeral home in Strawberry Point.

The infant child of a Rochester, Minnesota couple died Saturday. The funeral service for Owen Lynn Rodrigo Armstrong, who was 5 months and 7 days old, the son of Billy and Catherine Armstrong, will be Friday at 1pm at Bible Baptist church in Prairie du Chien. Burial at Hansel cemetery in rural Garber. Visitation is 2-8pm Thursday at Leonard Grau funeral home in Elkader, and an hour before services at the church. A tree planting ceremony will be held at 2pm Sunday at Crosswinds church in Rochester, Minnesota.

A Rowley man, 86 year old Robert "Bob" Niemeier, died Saturday. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Reiff Family Center is handling the arrangements.
