June 16 funeral announcements

A McGregor resident, 86-year-old Severna Cowell, died Sunday. The funeral service will be Saturday at 11 AM at First Lutheran Church in McGregor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 4 to 7 PM at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in McGregor and Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the church.

An Arlington man, 72-yaer-old Paul Crawford, died Sunday. No services are planned at this time. Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Arlington is assisting the family.

An Independence man, 72-year-old Russell Hare, died June 5. A memorial services will be held at a later date at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Mo. The Reiff Family Center Funeral Home and Crematory in Independence is handling the arrangements.

A former St. Olaf man, 75-year-old Robert Meyer, of Prairie du Chien, Wis., died Monday. A graveside service will be held Friday at 10 AM at Rossville Cemetery in Rossville. Visitation is Thursday from 4 to 8 PM at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Monona, which is assisting the family with arrangements.

A Fort Madison man, 55-year-old Tony Stalcup, died Sunday. Visitation is Saturday from 9 to 11 AM at Schluter-Balik Funeral Home in Decorah, followed by an 11 AM service at the funeral home.
