Oct. 10 funeral announcements

Services for a Decorah man, 77 year old John Carlson, are Tuesday at 11am at Decorah Lutheran church. Burial in Phelps cemetery. Visitation is 4-7pm Monday at Fjelstul funeral home in Decorah, and an hour before services at the church.

Services for an Independence ma, 72 year old Roger Greathouse, are Saturday at 10:30am at White Funeral home in Independence. Burial in St. John's cemetery. Visitation is 5-7pm Friday at the funeral home, with a 6pm parish rosary.

Services for a Waverly woman, 97 year old Ruth Schabacker, are Monday at 11am at Faith Lutheran church in Shell Rock. Burial in Madison cemetery in rural Aurora. Visitation is an hour before services at the church. Kaiser Corson funeral home in Shell Rock is assisting the family.

Services for a Lansing man, 79 year old Robert Strub, are Monday at 10am at Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Lansing. Visitation is 3-6pm Sunday at Thornburg Grau funeral home in Lansing and an hour before services at the church.

Services for a Postville man, 61 year old Michael "Mike" Heins, are Saturday at 11am at St. Paul Lutheran church in Postville. Burial in Bloomfield cemetery in Castalia. Visitation is 4-7pm Friday at the church, and an hour before services. Schutte Grau funeral home in Postville is helping the family.

A Waterloo man, 66 year old Barry Lee DeBerg, died October 5th. There will be no formal services. Kaiser Corson funeral home in Waverly is in charge of arrangements.

Services for a former West Union man, 94 year old Richard "Richie" Vagts of Alleman, are Sunday at 1pm at St. Peter Lutheran church in Eldorado. Burial with military ritss in the church cemetery. Visitation is 3-6pm Saturday at the church. Burnham-Wood-Grau funeral home in West Union is handling the arrangements.

A Celebration of Life gathering for a former Postville woman, 48 year old Lori Jo Martins of Cedar Rapids, will be held Monday, 3-6pm at Schutte Grau funeral home in Postville.

Graveside services for a Charles City man, 64 year old Terry Wubbens, will be Saturday at 11:45am at Mt. Calvary cemetery in Elma. Friends may greet the family at 1pm for lunch and sharing at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
