June 4 funeral announcements

Memorial services for a Decorah woman, 79 year old Virginia Halse, are Saturday at 11am at St. Benedict Catholic church in Decorah. Inurnment in Burr Oak cemetery. Visitation is an hour before services at the church. Fjelstul funeral home in Decorah is serving the family.

A Farmersburg woman, 92 year old Norma Jean Erickson, died Monday. A public visitation will be held Saturday, 9-11am at Leonard Grau funeral home in Elkader. There will be a private family funeral and burial.

Graveside services for a former Waukon man, 55 year old Dennis Whalen of Vinton, are Thursday at 11am at St. Mary's Lycurgus cemetery in rural Waukon. Martin funeral home in Waukon is handling arrangements.
