Services for an Elgin woman, 85 year old LaVerne Ida Butikofer, are Monday at 10:30am at the Apostolic Christian church in Elgin. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-7pm Sunday at Leonard Grau funeral home in Elgin, and from 9:30am to 10:15am Monday at the church.

An Independence man, 75 year old Charles "Chuck" Simms, died June 16th. A celebration of life will be held at the Buchanan County Fair Grounds, Sunday at 5pm. Reiff Family Center funeral home is handling the arrangements.

Service for an Ossian woman, 69 year old Charlene Zweibohmer, are Saturday at 2pm at St. Francis de Sales Catholic church in Ossian. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-7pm Friday at the church, and also an hour before services Saturday at the church. Schluter Balik funeral home is handling arrangements.

Memorial services for an Oelwein woman, 79 year old Joan Short, are Friday at 11am at Grace United Methodist church in Oelwein. Inurnment at a later date in Cornell City cemetery in Cornell, Wisconsin. Visitation is an hour before the service at the church. Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Oelwein is assisting the family.

A Charles City man, 33 year old Christopher Dann, died Tuesday. Services are pending at Hugeback Johnson funeral home-Olson Chapel in Nashua.

Services for a Guttenberg man, 84 year old Robert Klaes, are Friday at 11am at St. Mary's Catholic church in Guttenberg. Burial in Mt. Olivet Catholic cemetery. Friends may call 5-8pm Thursday at Tuecke Allyn funeral home in Guttenberg, and an hour before services at the church.

Services for a Manchester woman, 87 year old Norma Jean Rave, are Monday at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic church in Manchester. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 3-8pm Sunday at Leonard Muller funeral home in Manchester, with a 2pm scripture service, and from 9-10am Monday at the funeral home.
