Graveside services for an Oelwein child, 9 year old Ace Reaves, the son of Zachary and Robyn Reaves, are Friday at 10:30am at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in rural Oelwein. Visitation is 4-8pm Thursday (today) at Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Oelwein.

Services for a West Union man, 94 year old Ervin Nyberg, are Monday at 3pm at Burnham-Wood-Grau funeral home in West Union. Burial in Oak Ridge cemetery in Auburn. Visitation is 1-3pm Monday, before the service, at the funeral home.

A New Hampton man, 71 year old Dennis Buckendahl, died Wednesday. Services are pending at Hugeback Johnson funeral home in New Hampton.

Services for an Independence man, 91 year old Theodore "Ted" Schmitz, are Saturday at 10:30am at St. John's Catholic church in Independence. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4:30-7:30pm Friday at Reiff Family Center and funeral home in Independence, with a 4:30pm rosary and 7:30pm parish vigil service.
