Dec. 26 funeral announcements

A Decorah man, 75 year old Terry Stone, died Monday; a visitation will be held Saturday, from 12 to 2pm at Fjelstul funeral home in Decorah. Burial in Washington Prairie Lutheran cemetery in rural Decorah. A Celebration of Life reception will follow.

A Fredericksburg man, 55 year old Leroy Jarchow, died Monday; friends may greet the family from 4-7pm Friday, January 3rd, at Hugeback Johnson funeral home in Fredericksburg.

Services for a rural Independence woman, 74 year old Thelma Anderson, are Monday at 11am at the Union Church in Quasqueton. Burial in the Quasqueton cemetery. Friends may call 1-5pm Sunday at White funeral home in Quasqueton.

Services for a Strawberry Point man, 74 year old Michael "Mike" Sadler, are Friday, January 10th at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic church in Strawberry Point, with military honors. Inurnment in Forestville cemetery in Dundee. Visitation is 4-8pm Thursday at Leonard Muller funeral home in Strawberry Point, and an hour before services at the church.

A Celebration of Life for an Oelwein man, 46 year old Aaron Hennager, will be 1:30-5pm Saturday at the Oelwein Columbus Club, with a prayer service at 2pm. Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Oelwein is assisting the family.

Memorial services for a Charles City woman, 65 year old Karen Funte, are Friday at 11am at Hauser Weishaar funeral home. Visitation is 9:30am until services at the funeral home.

A Stanley woman, 93 year old Marjorie "Margie" Soules, died Monday; services are pending at Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Oelwein.

Services for a Waverly woman, 84 year old Elaine Sloan, are Friday at 11am at St. Mary Catholic church in Waverly. Burial in St. Luke's Catholic cemetery in St. Lucas, Friday at 2:30pm. Visitation is 4-7pm Thursday at Kaiser Corson funeral home in Waverly, with a 4pm parish rosary and 7pm scripture service.

Services for a Cresco woman, 84 year old Annette Polashek, are Monday at 11am at Notre Dame Catholic church. Burial in Calvary cemetery. Visitation is 2-5pm Sunday at Hindt Hudek funeral home in Cresco, with a 1:30pm rosary, and an hour before services at the church.

Services for a former Floyd and Charles City woman, 93 year old Elaine Olson of St. Ansgar, are Monday at 2pm at Hauser Weishaar funeral home in Charles City. Burial in Riverside cemetery. Visitation is an hour before services at the funeral home.

A former Garber man, 75 year old Frederick Jenkins of Guttenberg, died December 21st. Graveside Committal services will be Friday at 2pm at Monona City cemetery. Friends may call 9am to 1pm at Tuecke Allyn funeral home in Guttenberg.

Services for a Quasqueton man, 73 year old Brent Hamilton, are Saturday at 11am at White funeral home in Quasqueton. Burial in Quasqueton cemetery. Visitation is 9am to 10:30am Saturday at White Funeral home, with a Hootenanny from 10:30am to 11am Saturday.
