A Calmar man, 70-year-old Lee Palas, formerly of Elkader, died Tuesday. Visitation is Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home in Elkader.

Services for a Waverly man, 79-year-old David Birkholz, are Friday at 1 PM at Hauser-Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City, with burial at Riverside Cemetery, also in Charles City. Visitation is Friday from 11 AM until the start of services at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial for a Decorah woman, 76-year-old Beverly Whittle, will be held Saturday at 11 AM at St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Decorah, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 4 to 7 PM at Schluter-Balik Funeral Home in Decorah and Saturday after 10 AM at the church.

Services for a Guttenberg man, 77-year-old James Kolker, are Monday at 11 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Guttenberg, with burial at Guttenberg City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 4 PM at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home in Guttenberg and Monday one hour prior to the start of services at the church.

A West Union man, 90-year-old Donald "Andy" Vagt died August 7th. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday at 11 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church in West Union. Visitation is Friday from 4 to 7 PM at the church. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.

Services for a Mankato, Minnesota, man, 85-year-old Verdus Kann, are Saturday at 11 AM at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home in Guttenberg. Burial in Guttenberg City Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday one hour before services at the church.

A Calmar woman, 83-year-old Darlene Elsbernd, died April 30th of last year. A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held Saturday at 11 AM at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Calmar. Masks and social distancing are encouraged.

A Delhi man, 74-year-old Kenneth "Beep" Bernes, died July 27th. Services Friday at 3 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Delaware.
