Services for an Independence man, 85 year old Vernie Kirkendall, are Tuesday at 11am at Immanuel Lutheran church in Independence. Inurnment in Mt. Hope cemetery at a later date. Friends may call 2-8pm Monday at Rieff funeral home in Independence and from 9am until services Tuesday at the church.

A Nashua resident died Saturday; services for 93 year old Merle Bennett, are pending at Hugeback Johnson funeral home-Olson chapel in Nashua.

A Fredericksburg resident, 85 year old Floren Bravener, died Saturday; arrangements are being made with Hugeback Johnson funeral home in Fredericksburg.

A Fredericksburg resident died Friday; services for 88 year old Helmuth Bartels, are pending at Hugeback Johnson funeral home.

Memorial services for a Decorah man, 77 year old Pastor Ronald Fretheim, are Friday at 11:30am at First Lutheran church in Decorah. Visitation is 5-7pm Thursday at the church. Fjelstul funeral home in Decorah is serving the family.

Services for an Osage woman, 79 year old Clarice Wilde, are Thursday at 11am at St. John's Lutheran church in rural Osage. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-7pm Wednesday at Champion Bucheit funeral home in Osage.

Services for a former Denver man, 86 year old Virgil Fasse of Waverly, are Thursday at 10:30am at St. Peter Lutheran church in Denver. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-8pm Wednesday at Kaiser Corson funeral home in Waverly and an hour before services at the church.

Services for a Stacyville woman, 93 year old Vera Adams, are Tuesday at 10:30am at Visitation Catholic church in Stacyville. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 5-7pm Monday at the church, with a 5:15pm rosary. Champion Bucheit funeral home is handling arrangements.

A Manchester man, 87 year old Milton Champney, died Thursday. Services will be held at a later date. Leonard Muller funeral home in Manchester is helping the family.

An Oelwein man, 80 year old Leland "Sonny" Doudney, died Thursday. Visitation will be 4-7pm today, Monday at Geilenfeld funeral home in Oelwein. Private family graveside services will be at Woodlawn cemetery.

Services for an Osage man, 71 year old Larry Bird, are Tuesday at 11am at the Osage Alliance church. Burial in Riverside cemetery in Riceville. Visitation is 5-7:30pm Monday at Champion Bucheit funeral home in Osage.

Services for a Waukon woman, 88 year old Reverend Laura Odegard, are today, Monday at 11am at St. Paul's United Methodist church in Waukon. Burial in Oakland cemetery.

An Ionia man died Saturday; services for 88 year old James "Jim" Finnegan, are being made at Conway Markham funeral home in New Hampton.

Services for a Charles City woman, 97 year old Pauline King, are Tuesday at 11am at Hauser funeral home in Charles City. Burial in Sunnyside Memory Gardens. Visitation is 9am until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
