November 7th funeral announcements

A Celebration of life Service for a Manchester woman, 89 year old Martha Lou Palmer, will be held on Saturday at 1:30pm at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Inurnment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Manchester. Visitation will be from 4-6pm on Friday at the Funeral Home.

Services for a Tripoli woman, 68 year old Linda Thurm, will be held at St. John Lutheran Church in rural Sumner on Tuesday at 10:30am. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7pm tonight at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Readlyn and also one our prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

A Memorial service for a Denver woman, 78 year old Nancy Knief, will held on Wednesday at 11am at St. John Lutheran Church in Denver. Family will greet friends at 10am before the service at the church.

Services for an Oelwein man, 82 year old Marlon Stearns, will be held Thursday at 11am at Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Wednesday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral home in Oelwein and for one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.

A West Union woman, 92 year old Betty Bond formerly of Maynard and Oelwein, passed away Saturday evening. Funeral services are pending with Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein.

Visitation for an Oelwein man, 62 year old Timothy “Tim” Barker, will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the Geilenfeld Funeral in Oelwein with a military services at 7pm.

Services for a Westgate woman, 83 year old Lila Kappmeyer Glass, will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Westgate. Interment will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Westgate. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Tuesday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Hom ein Maynard and for an hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.

A Manchester woman, 99 year old Arla Ketelsen, passed away on Sunday. Arrangements are pending with Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester.

Services for a Riceville man, 84 year old Dean Mauer, will be held on Wednesday at 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Riceville. Family and friends may call at the Lindstrom funeral in Riceville on Tuesday from 4-7pm.

Services for a former New Hampton man, 61 year old Gregory Budweg of St. Paul MN, will be held at 10:30am on Saturday at Holy Family Parish in New Hampton. Interment with military honors will be held at Calvary Cemetery in New Hampton. Visitation arrangements still to be announced. Services are with Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton.

Services for a Waverly man, 57 year old Dino Wayne, will be held at 7pm on Thursday at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in Nashua. Friends may greet the family from 4-7pm on Thursday at the funeral home.

A former Postville woman died Sunday; services for 90 year old Rose Barker of Waukon are pending at Schutte Grau funeral home in Postville.
