Services for a former West Union woman, 70 year old Kathy Miller of Waterloo, are Saturday at 1pm at West Union United Methodist church. Burial in West Union cemetery. Visitation is an hour before services at the church. Burnham Wood Grau funeral home in West Union is helping the family.

Services for a former West Union man, 94 year old Richard "Richie" Vagts of Alleman, are Sunday at 1pm at St. Peter Lutheran church in Eldorado. Burial with military rites in St. Peter Lutheran cemetery in Eldorado, with miltary rites. Visitation is 3-6pm Saturday at the church. Burnham Wood Grau funeral home in West Union is assisting the family.

Services for an Ossian woman, 95 year old Jean Groff, are Tuesday (Oct. 29) at 11:30am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic church in Ossian. Inurnment in the church cemetery at 3pm Wednesday. Visitation is 9:30am to 11:30am Tuesday at the church. Schmitz Grau funeral home in Ossian is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for a Fredericksburg woman, 73-year-old Leona Murray, will be held Thursday at 7 PM at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory in Fredericksburg, with a private family interment at a later date. Friends may greet the family Thursday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.

A Nashua man, 89-year-old Charles Raymond Swinton, died Saturday at the Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City. Funeral arrangements are pending at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory - Olson Chapel in Nashua.

A memorial service for a Cedar Falls woman, 72-year-old Ruth Ann Dunlap will be held Wednesday at 2:30 PM at Kaisor-Corson Funeral Home in Denver. Inurnment will follow in Mount Vernon Township Cemetery, rural Cedar Falls. The family will great family and friends Wednesday from 1 PM to service time at the funeral home.

A memorial open house for an Oelwein woman, 82-year-old Patricia Brothers, will be held today from 2 to 5 PM at Geilenfeld-Buehner Funeral Home. Patricia Brothers passed away on October 14th.

Funeral services for a Decorah woman, 92-year-old Madonna Melcher, formerly of Harpers Ferry and Waukon, will be held Tuesday at 11 AM at United Methodist Church in McGregor. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, in rural Waukon. Friends may call Tuesday one hour before the services at the church. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon is handling the arrangements.

A Mass of Christian Burial for a Sumner woman, 96-year-old Marie Schaufenbuel, will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM at St. Luke's Catholic Church in St. Lucas, with burial in St. Luke's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at St. Luke's Catholic Church. Visitation will also be held Wednesday after 9:30 AM, also at the church. Schluter-Balik Funeral Home in Decorah is handling arrangements.

Visitation is 4-7pm Monday at the church fellowship hall, and an hour before services at the church. Becker Milnes funeral home is assisting the family.
