June 15 funeral announcements

A New Hampton man, 75-year-old Calvin “Cal” Roberson, passed away Saturday. A private funeral service is planned Wednesday at 10:30 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Hampton. A public graveside service will follow Wednesday at 11:45 AM at Jerico Lutheran Cemetery in Jerico. Military rites will be provided by the New Hampton American Legion. Visitation is Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in New Hampton.

An Oelwein man, 71-year-old Dominic “Squinto” Pirillo, died March 16th. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held after the cemetery service at Oelwein City Park. Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein is assisting the family.

A Charles City woman, 84-year-old Doris Bertelsen, died on Wednesday. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 AM at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City, with burial at Riverside Cemetery, also in Charles City. Visitation is Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the service time at the funeral home.

An Oelwein man, 78-year-old Robert “Gary” Stejskal, died Friday. The funeral service is Wednesday at 10 AM at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, also in Oelwein. A parish rosary service will be held Tuesday at 4:30 PM at the funeral home. Visitation is Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM and Wednesday for one hour before the service at the funeral home.

A McGregor woman, 76-year-old Janet Meyers, died Friday. The funeral service is Wednesday at 11 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in McGregor, with burial to follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, also in McGregor. There will be a two-hour visitation before the funeral service Wednesday, from 9 to 11 AM, at he church.

A LeRoy, Minnesota, woman, 70-year-old Shirley McCarville, died Thursday. A private family service will be held, with burial at a later date in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesay from 5 to 7 PM at Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Cresco.

A Garnavillo man, 76-year-old Charles Bries, died Friday. The funeral service will be Friday at 10 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Guttenberg, with interment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Garnavillo. The family will receive frineds Friday from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the church in Guttenberg.
