Services for a former New Hampton woman, 23 year old Brittney Heying of North Liberty, are Friday at 10:30am at Holy Family Parish in New Hampton. Friends may call 4-7pm Thursday at Hugeback Johnson funeral home in New Hampton, and an hour before services at the church.

Services for an Alta Vista man, 83 year old Richard "Dick" Gebel, are Wednesday at 10:30am at St. Bernard's Catholic church in Alta Vista. Burial in Calvary cemetery. Friends may call 4-6pm Tuesday at Hugeback Johnson funeral home in New Hampton, with a 4pm parish scripture service, and an hour before the service a the church.

A New Hampton man, 77 year old Dale Vestal, died May 15th. A military inurnment service will be held Saturday (Aug. 1st) at 10:30am at the New Hampton cemetery, with military honors. A celebration of life will follow, 11:30am to 3pm, at Butch's Bar in New Hampton.

Services for a Clarksville woman, 84 year old Janet Liddle, formerly of Plainfield, are Thursday at 10:30am at Trinity United Methodist church in Waverly. Burial in Greenwood cemetery in Nashua. Visitation is 4-8pm Wednesday at Kaiser Corson funeral home in Waverly.

A celebration of life for an Oelwein woman, 68 year old Nancy Akin, will be held Saturday (Aug. 1) at 2pm at Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Oelwein. Friends may call an hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial in Campton cemetery in Lamont. Fawcett-Schmitz funeral home in Winthrop is assisting the family.

Graveside services for a Waukon woman, 101 year old Marcelle "Marcie" Opfer, are Tuesday at 11am at Zalmona cemetery in Waukon. Martin Grau funeral home in Waukon is handling the arrangements.

Services for a Sumner man, 53 year old Thomas Simmons, are Saturday, Aug. 1 at 1pm at the American Legion in Fairbank. A celebration of life will follow. Visitation is an hour before the service. Geilenfeld Buehner funeral home in Oelwein is handling the arrangements.

Services for a Manchester woman, 90 year old Hilda Gibbs, are Tuesday at 10:30am at First Lutheran church in Manchester. Burial in Oakland cemetery. Visitation is 3-7pm Monday at Leonard Muller funeral home in Manchester, and from 9:30-10:25am Tuesday at the church.

A Waukon woman, 80 year old Joana Pladsen, died Friday. There are no services planned at this time. Martin-Grau Funeral Home in Waukon is handling the arrangements.

Services for a Winthrop man, 73 year old Eugene "Gene" Buhr, are today at 10:30am at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein. Burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein, with military honors. Visitation is one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Graveside services for a Charles City man, 95 year old Warren Nott, are today at 10am at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City. Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City is in charge of the arrangements.
