Aug. 10 Funeral Announcements

A Fairbank woman, 60-year-old Rosemary A. Wilkinson, died Wednesday. No services are planned at this time. White Funeral Home in Independence is in charge of arrangements.

A New Hampton woman, 85-year-old Marlene Weigel, died Friday. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at Holy Family Parish in New Hampton. The service will be live-streamed at 11 AM on the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home Facebook page. There will be no public visitation.

A Fredericksburg man, 32-year-old Sean Slick, formerly of Alta Vista, died Tuesday. Funeral arrangements are pending at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory in Fredericksburg.

A Waverly woman, 85-year-old Marilyn Schmadeke Shultz Shipp, formerly of Clarksville and Greene, died Friday. Services are Tuesday at 11 AM at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly. Following a luncheon, burial will be at 2 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery in Greene. Visitation is Tuesday from 10 AM to service time.

An Ionia resident, 19-year-old Jace Cajthaml, died on July 30. Funeral services are pending with Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory in New Hampton.

A Strawberry Point woman, 56-year-old Michelle Ann Schlee, died Aug. 2. A private funeral service will be held at Mission in Christ Church in Strawberry Point. Public visitation will be held at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Strawberry Point. The visitation date and time will be announced later.

A Masonville woman, 90-year-old Ila Mae Marquardt, died Friday. Services are Tuesday at 2 PM at United Methodist Church in Manchester, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Masonville. Visitation is Monday from 4 to 7 PM at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Friends may also call Tuesday from 1 to 1:55 PM at the church.

A Strawberry Point man, 74-year-old Clair "Bub" Kruger, formerly of Littleport, died July 27. Services will be held at a later date. Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Strawberry Point is assisting the family.

An Elma man, 67-year-old Jerry Steven, died Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in North Washington, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, also in North Washington. Visitation is Monday from 4 to 7 PM at Conway-Markham Funeral Home in Elma, with a Scriptural Wake Service to follow at 7 PM. Visitation will continue at the church Tuesday, one hour prior to the service.

A Waukon woman, 90-year-old Vera Szabo (zah-boe), died Wednesday. A private family graveside service will be held in Frankville Cemetery. Schluter Balik Funeral Home in Decorah is in charge of arrangements.

An Edgewood woman, 90-year-old Betty Jean Knipper, died Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church in Edgewood, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Edgewood, followed by a 7:30 PM scripture service. Friends may also call Wednesday from 9 to 10 AM at the funeral home.

A Tripoli woman, 76-year-old Elizabeth Klein, died Sunday. Private funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Readlyn, but will be live-streamed on the church's Facebook page. Interment will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery-Siegel, rural Tripoli. A public visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM at Rettig Funeral Home in Tripoli, which is handling the arrangements.
