A former New Hampton man died Monday; services for 85 year old James "Jim" Schlindwein of Austin, Texas, are pending at Hugeback Johnson funeral home in New Hampton.

Services for a New Hampton man, 95 year old Gerald Carney, are Monday at 10:30am at Holy Family Church in New Hampton. Friends may call 3-6pm Sunday at the St. Joseph gathering space, and an hour before services. Hugeback Johnson funeral home is handling arrangements.

Services for a Riceville man, 83 year old Robert Schnepper, are Friday at 10:30am at St. Peter's Lutheran church in Riceville. Burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call 4-7pm Thursday at Lindstrom funeral home in Riceville and an hour before services at the church.

A Garnavillo woman, 79 year old Valene Lau, died Monday. Private family services will be held at a later date. Visitation is 4-7pm Friday at Tuecke Allyn funeral home in Garnavillo.

Services for a rural Sumner man, 90 year old Wilbert Meyer, are Friday at 1pm at Faith United church of Christ in Tripoli. Burial at 3:30pm at Harlington cemetery in Waverly. Friends may call 5-7pm Thursday at Rettig funeral home in Tripoli and an hour before services at the church.

Memorial services for a Decorah woman, 51 year old Lora Steil, are Friday at 1pm at Center for Faith and Life on the Luther College campus in Decorah. Visitation is an hour before services. Fjelstul funeral home is assisting the family.
