March 7th funeral announcements

Services for a Charles City man, 97 year old Bernard Schmitt, will be held 10:30am on Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Roseville. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hauser Funeral Home from 5-7pm on Tuesday with a Scripture Service beginning at 7pm. Visitation will continue one hour before the funeral Mass at the church on Wednesday.

Services for a Decorah resident, 92 year old Marian E. Cook, will be held at 2pm on Saturday at Fjelstul Funeral Home in Decorah. Visitation will begin at 1pm on Saturday, on hour before the service at Fjelstul Funeral Home.

Services for a Strawberry Point woman, 93 year old Rosemary Dunn, will be held at 10:30am on Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Strawberry Point. Burial will take place in the Strawberry Point cemetery. Family will greet friends on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Strawberry Point and an hour prior to the funeral Mass on Thursday starting at 9:30 at the church. A Scripture and Rosary will be prayed at 3:30pm at the funeral home.

A Prairie du Chien woman, 73 Betty Kendall, passed away on Sunday. Arrangements are pending at the Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in Prairie du Chien.

Services for an Elgin man, 74 year old Dale Frederick Cooksley, will be held at 10am on Tuesday at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home in Elgin. Burial will follow at the Elgin Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4-7pm at the funeral home and one hour before services on Tuesday.

Services for an Osage man, 50 year old Ted James McPhail, will be held on Thursday at 11am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Riceville. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Riceville. Friends may call on Wednesday at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville from 4-7pm.

A West Union woman, 72 year old Sherryl Werhan, passed away on Saturday. Services are pending with S.K. Rogers & Burnham-Wood Funeral Home in West Union.

Services for a Waukon woman, 84 year old Ruby Kloke (Cluck-ee), will be held on Tuesday at 11am at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in rural Postville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7pm today at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.

Services for a Des Moines woman, 81 year old Ruby Mary Matt formerly of Garnavillo, will held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garnavillo at 11 am today(Monday). Interment will be at the Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends after 10am today at the church.

A Lime Spring woman, 86 year old Patricia "Patsy" (Gasser) Borgan, passed away on Thursday. Services will be at a later date. The Lindstrom Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Memorial services for a Lime Springs man, 61 year old Dean Buls, are Saturday at 10am at St. Peter's Lutheran church in Riceville. Burial in Howard cemetery in Elma. Visitation is 4-7pm Friday at Hindt Hudek funeral home in Riceville and an hour before services at the church.
