March 18th funeral announcements

Services for an Independence man, 60 year old David R. Gates, will be held on Saturday at 1:30 PM at the White Funeral Home in Independence. Friends may call after 10 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.

A Postville man, 65 year old Mark Boese, passed away on Tuesday. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Schutte-Grau Funeral Home in Postville is assisting the family.

A Strawberry Point man, 64 year old Kent Roeder, passed away on Thursday. Arrangements are pending with Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Strawberry Point.

Services for a Decorah man, 89 year old Robert D. Usgaard, will be held at 12pm on Saturday at Decorah Lutheran Church. A Private family Inurnment will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9am-12pm on Saturday at the church.

Services for a Janesville man, 76 year old Wayne R. Hartman, will be at 10:30am on Monday at Messiah Lutheran Church in Janesville. Burial will follow at Allison Cemetery in Allison. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-5pm at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly.

Services for a Charles City man, 85 year old John Schultz, will be held 11am on Monday at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City. Burial will be at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City. Visitation will be a Hauser Funeral Home from 2-4pm on Sunday and will continue one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Services for a Decorah resident, 72 year old Marcella Manderfield, will be held at 2pm on Saturday at the Schulter-Balik Funeral Home in Decorah. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery in Calmar. Friends may call after 1pm on Saturday at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home.

Services for a Little Turkey resident, 83 year old Rita Jirak, at 10:30am on Saturday at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Catholic Church in Little Turkey. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-6pm today at the Schluter-Balik Funeral Home in Fort Atkinson and also after 9:30am at the church on Saturday morning.

A Monona woman died Thursday; services for 83 year old Ednah Mae Wiethorn are pending at Leonard Grau funeral home in Monona.
