A Charles City man, 86 year old Gilman Vaine, Senior, formerly of Fort Dodge, Kansas, died Thursday. A graveside burial with military honors will be held at a later date at Kansas Soldier Home cemetery in Fort Dodge. Local visitation is 5-8pm Tuesday at Hauser funeral home in Charles City.

A New Hampton woman died Thursday. Services for 100 year old Vivian Hagedorn are pending at Hugeback Johnson funeral home in New Hampton.

A Postville woman died Thursday; services for 97 year old Evelyn Martin are pending at Schutte Grau fuenral home in Postville.

Memorial Services for a Calmar man, 85 year old David Hosper, are Saturday at 10:30am at St. Aloysius Catholic church in Calmar. Burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call 9-10am Saturday at the church, with a 10am rosary. Schluter Balik funeral home is handling arrangements.

A Monona resident died Thursday; services for 94 year old LaVern Meyer are pending at Leonard Grau funeral home in Monona.

Services for an Oelwein man, 47 year old Jerry Van Sickle, are Monday at 10:30am at St. Paul Lutheran church in Maynard. Friends may call 4-7pm Sunday at Becker Milnes funeral home in Fayette, and an hour before services at the church.
