Oct. 9 funeral announcements

A Nashua man, 89 year old Mark Frein, died Wednesday. A private family funeral service will be held Saturday at Hugeback Johnson funeral home-Olson Chapel in Nashua. Burial in Calvary cemetery in Charles City with military rites. There will be no public visitation.

A Nashua woman, 93 year old Jean Weigand, died Wednesday. A private family service will be held. Burial in Greenwood cemetery. Hugeback Johnson funeral home-Olson Chapel is handling arrangements.

A Lansing man, 77 year old Donald Prosser, died Wednesday. There are no services planned at this time. Thornburg Grau funeral home in Lansing is assisting the family.

A Waterloo man, 93 year old DeWayne Fasse, died Tuesday. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 13th at 2pm at St. Peter Lutheran cemetery in Denver, with military rites. A celebration of life service will be held in the summer of 2021. Kaiser Corson funeral home in Denver is in charge of arrangements.

Services for a Sumner man, 81 year old Dr. David Hennessey, are Saturday at 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Sumner. Burial in Mt. Calvary cemetery in rural Sumner, with military rites. Visitation is from 9am until service time Saturday at the church. Becker Milnes funeral home in Sumer is assisting the family.

A Volga man,, 67 year old David Schaub, died Wednesday. No services are planned at this time. Leonard Grau funeral home in Elkader is assisting the family.
