May 8 funeral announcements

An Independence woman, 89 year old Georgia Gray, died Thursday. A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Hope cemetery in Independence. White funeral home in Independence is in charge of arrangements.

A rural Bassett woman, 96 year old Helen Key, died Thursday. Funeral services are pending at Hugeback Johnson funeral home in New Hampton.

A Manchester man, 56 year old Albert "Bert" Meister, died Wednesday. No services will be held at this time. Leonard Muller funeral home in Manchester is helping the family.

A Cresco woman, 86 year old Betty Slifka, died Thursday. A rotating visitation of 10 people at a time, will be held from 9am to 10:45am Saturday at Hindt Hudek funeral home in Cresco. Services will be held at 11am Saturday at the funeral home. Burial in New Oregon cemetery.

A New Hampton man, 81 year old Reverend Marvin Salz, died Wednesday. A private service will be held Monday at 11am at Holy Family Parish in New Hampton. The service will be available for viewing on the Hugeback Johnson Facebook page. Graveside services will be Monday at 1pm at Visitation cemetery in New Hampton.
