May 10 funeral announcements

Graveside Services for a former Independence woman, 98 year old Mary Alice Scribner of Des Moines, are Saturday at 11am at the Hazleton Cemetery. Visitation is one-half hour before the service. White funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Services for a Decorah woman, 95 year old Iona Crawford, are Monday at 11am at Glenwood Lutheran church; burial in the Glenwood East cemetery. Visitation is an hour before services at the church. Schluter Balik funeral home is handling arrangements.

Services for an Elgin man, 71 year old Charles "Chuck" Frieden, are Monday at 11am at Illyria Community church in Elgin. Private Inurnment at a later date. Visitation is 4-7pm Sunday at the church, and an hour before services. Leonard Grau funeral home in Elgin is helping the family.

An Oelwein woman died Thursday; services for 94 year old Gladys Sanders are pending at Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Oelwein.
