June 11 funeral announcements

Memorial services for a Cresco woman, 86 year old Wilma Bigalk, are Monday at 11am at the Cresco Community Chapel. Visitation is 2-5pm Sunday at Hindt Hudek funeral home in Cresco, and an hour before services at the church.

An Oelwein man, 34 year old Bobby Higgins, died Wednesday. A private family graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in rural Oelwein. There is no visitation. Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Oelwein is assisting the family.

Services for a Guttenberg man, 65 year old Kevin Morarend, are Monday at 11am at St. Paul Lutheran church in Garnavillo. Burial in the Garnavillo Community cemetery. Friends may call 1-5pm Sunday at Tuecke Allyn funeral home in Garnavillo.

A longtime retired Oelwein physician, Dr. Darwin Jack, died Tuesday. Services are 11am Tuesday at Geilenfeld Buehner funeral home in Oelwein. Inurnment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, between Oelwein and Hazleton, with military honors.

A Sumner man, 73 year old Dennis Brandt, died last Wednesday. Graveside services will be held this Wednesday at 11am at Garden of Memories cemetery in Waterloo. Becker and Son funeral home in Fayette is assisting the family.

Services for a former Strawberry Point woman, 75 year old Carol Jarman of Edgewood, are Friday (June 18) at 10:30am at Leonard Muller funeral home in Strawberry Point. Burial in Mederville cemetery. Visitation is 4-8pm Thursday at the funeral home, and an hour before the services.

A celebration of life for a Decorah woman, 68 year old Phyllis Maroushek, are Friday at 11am at Big Canoe Lutheran church in Decorah. Visitation is today (Thursday, June 10th) from 4-7pm at Schluter Balik funeral home in Decorah.
