A former Denver woman, 89 year old Laurel Kurtt of Waverly, died July 5th. Services are Friday (July 30) at 11am at Redeemer Lutheran church in Waverly. It will be livestreamed on the Kaiser Corson funeral home Facebook page. Visitation is 4-7pm Thursday at Kaiser Corson funeral home in Waverly. Burial in Harlington cemetery.

Memorial services for a Manchester man, 92 year old LeRoy "Smitty" Schmidt, are Saturday, July 31st at 10:30am at First Lutheran church in Manchester, with military rites. Inurnment at a later date in Sedona, Arizona. Visitation is an hour before services at the church. Leonard Muller funeral home is handling the arrangements.

Services for a Randalia woman, 64 year old Joyce McFarlane, are Saturday, July 31st at 10:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic church in Fayette. Burial in Mount Calvary cemetery in West Union. Visitation is 4-8pm Friday, July 30 at Burnham Wood Grau funeral home in West Union, with a 7pm Rosary, and an hour before services at the church.

Services for an Ossian woman, 95 year old Lucille Holthaus, are Tuesday at 11am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic church in Ossian. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-8pm Monday at the church, with a 3:30pm CDA rosary and 3:45 scripture service, and an hour before services at the church. Schmitz Grau funeral home in Ossian is assisting the family.

Services for an Ossian man, 73 year old Phillip Olson, are Monday at 10:30am at St. Peter Lutheran church in Eldorado. Burial in First Lutheran cemetery in rural Ossian. Visitation is 2-5pm Sunday at the church. Schluter Balik funeral home is handling the arrangements.

Services for a Decorah man, 66 year old Doyle Heyveld (Hi-veld), formerly of Peoria, Illinois, are Monday at 2pm at First United Methodist church in Decorah. Burial in Phelps cemetery. Visitation is an hour before services at the church. Schluter Balik funeral home is in charge of arrangements. A service in Peoria will be held at a later date.

A Riceville woman, 72 year old Judith "Judy" Wallace, died Tuesday. A public visitation will be held 4-6pm Friday at Lindstrom funeral home in Riceville. A private family graveside service will be held at Riverside cemetery in Riceville.

Services for an Elkader man, 83 year old Bernard Fangman, are Monday at 12pm (noon) at Bethany Lutheran church in Elkader. Burial with military honors at 1:15pm at St. Mary's cemetery in Strawberry Point. Visitation is 10am to 12pm Monday at the church. Leonard Grau funeral home in Elkader is handling the arrangements.

Services for an Alta Vista man, 83 year old "Punk" Cerwinske, are Monday at 10:30am at St. Bernard Catholic church in Alta Vista. It will also be live streamed on Conway Markham funeral home's Facebook page. Burial in Calvary cemetery. Visitation is 3-7pm Sunday at Conway Markham funeral home in New Hampton, with a 2:30pm rosary and 7pm scriptural wake, and an hour before services at the church.
