Aug. 14 Funeral Announcements:

An Ossian woman, 88-year-old Marie Monroe, died Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:30 AM at Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Ossian, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 AM at the church. Schmitz-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Ossian is assisting the family with arrangements.

A rural Independence woman, 61-year-old Betsy Scheer, died July 29th. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 PM at the Reiff Family Center - Funeral Home and Creamatory in Independence.

A Postville woman, 84-year-old Ellen Kirkestue, died Wednesday. Visitation will be held Monday from 9 to 11 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Postville. A private memorial service will follow the visitation. Inurnment in Postville Cemetery. Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Postville is assisting the family with arrangements.
