Dec. 8th funeral announcements

Services for an Elkader man, 79 year old David Clarence Roquet, will be held at 3pm on Sunday, December 13th, at the Jehovah Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Elkader. The family will greet friends from 1:30pm to 3pm on Sunday.

Services for a Spillville man, 66 year old Jerry Balik will be this Saturday, December 12th, at 10:30am at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 11th, from 3-7 pm at the Chuch.

Services for a Fayette man, 50 year old Wade K. Mine (USMC SSgt. Ret), will be held at 11am on Saturday December 12 at S.K. Rogers Funeral Home in Fayette with a visitation held one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery in Fayette.

An Elkader woman, 59 year old Joyce Lynn Engelhardt, died December 5th at University Hospital in Iowa City. Visitation will be held 3-6pm on Thursday, December 10th, at the Leonard Funeral Home in Elkader.

An Oelwein man, 74 year old Gary L. Doyle, died Saturday evening, November 28th. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Services for an Elma resident, 91 year old Adeline E. Schroeder, will be held at 11am on Thursday, December 10th, at United Methodist Church in Riceville. Burial will be held at 10am at Howard Cemetery in Elma on Thursday the 10th.

Services for a Nashua resident, 77 year old Daniel A. Franzen, will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, December 10th at St. John Lutheran Church in Nashua. Internment will be in the Horton Cemetery. Friends may greet family 4-7pm on Wednesday, December 9th at Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home - Olson Chapel in Nashua and an hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

A Cresco woman, 84 year old Rosa Merritt, died Tuesday, Dec. 1st; a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Lindstrom funeral home in Cresco is handling arrangements.

A rural Mederville man, 73 year old Stanley Debes, died Monday; Private Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Mederville Cemetery.
