December 23rd Obits

Services for an Elkader woman, 94 year old Ruth M. Meyers, will be held at 10am on Saturday, December 26th, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elkader. Internment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Wesley. Visitation is one hour before Mass time at the church on Saturday.

Services for a Riceville man, 88 year old Dale Lenth, will be held at 10:30am on Monday, December 28th at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Riceville. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Riceville with military honors. Friends may call at the Lindstron Funeral Home in Riceville on Sunday during the hours of 5-7pm and one hour prior to services on Monday.

Services for a New Albin man, William Baxter, will held at 11am on Monday, December 28th, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Albin. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in New Albin. Visitation is on Sunday, December 27th, held from 4-7pm at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in Lansing, Iowa, with a one hour visitation before Mass at the church on Monday.

Services for a Tripoli resident, 93 year old Mildred Biermann, will be held at 10am on Thursday, December 24th, at St. John's United Church of Christ-Siegal of rural Waverly. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7pm on Wednesday, December 23, at Rettig Funeral Home in Tripoli and for one hour preceding services at the Church on Thursday.

Services for a Calmar woman, 96 year old Odelia Cremer ("Kramer"), will be held at 10:30am on Monday, December 28th at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Festina. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5pm on Sunday, December 27th at the Church and also after 9am at the church on Monday morning. There will be a rosary at 4pm and scripture service at 5pm on Sunday at the church

A Prairie du Chien man, 64 year old Robert "Bob" Burr, died Monday; a visitation will be held Tuesday, 4-7pm at Thornburg Grau funeral home in Prairie du Chien. (All of Bob's friends are invited to Jim's Bar after the visitation for a toast to Bob).
