December 22nd funeral announcements.

Services for a Spillville resident, 86 year old Edward "Ed" Polansky, will be held at 11am on Tuesday, December 29th, at the St. Wenceslaus Catholica Church in Spillville. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7pm on Monday, December 28th at the Balik Funeral Home in Spillville with a rosary at 4pm and a scripture service at 7pm. Visitation also after 10am at the church right before the service.

An Ionia resident, 69 year old Ardyce K. Poe, passed away on Sunday in New Hampton. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date in Ionia. Arrangments are with Hugheback-Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton.

Services for an Independence resident, 93 year old Wilbur H. Tiffany, will be held at 10am on Thursday, December 24th at the First United Methodist Church in Independence. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call for visitation from 5-7pm on Wednesday, December 23rd at the White Funeral Home in Independence where a miliatary service will begin at 6:30pm.

A Waverly resident, 77 year old Elwin H. Kaiser, passed away on Monday. A private memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waverly. Memorial may be directed to the American Cancer Society or St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

A former Beaver Dam, Wisconsin resident, 83 year old Cynthia Harlan Loomis, died on Firday. There will be a private family service at a later date.

Services for a McGregor woman, 89 year old Delpha McCormick, are Monday, Dec. 29th at 10:30am at St. Mary Catholic church in McGregor. Burial in St. Pius Cherry Mound cemetery in Harpers Ferry. Visitation is 2-5pm Sunday at Thornburg Grau funeral home in McGregor and an hour before services at the church.

Services for an Oelwein man, 73 year old William "Willy" Whittenbaugh, are Thursday at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Oelwein. Burial in Woodlawn cemetery. Visitation is 4-8pm Wednesday at Jamison Schmitz funeral home in Oelwein with a parish scripture service at 7:30pm.

Services for an Osage resident, 86 year old Merle "Mike" Penney, are Monday, Dec. 28th, at 10:30am at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Osage. Burial in the Osage cemetery with military honors. Visitation is 3-5pm Sunday at Champion Bucheit funeral home in Osage.
