December 21st funeral announcements

Services for a Waverly resident, 100 year old Mildred M. Niewoehner, will be held on Tuesday, December 22nd, at 11am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waverly. Burial will be held in Harlington Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22nd, from 10 am until 11am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Juvenile Diabetes Research Association, the American Cancer Society, St. Paul's Lutheran Church, or donor's choice.

A West Union woman, 73 year old Vickie A. Meyer, passed away on Thursday at her home. As were her wishes, Vickie will be cremated with a private family inurnment at a later date.

Services for a Fredericksburg woman, 85 year old Lesli "Pat" Acheson (atch-i-son) will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday, December 22nd at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in Fredericksburg with a private family burial at a later date.

Services for a Waverly resident, 99 year old Edna J. Soldwisch, will be held on Wednesday, December 23rd at 10:30am at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly. Burial will follow in the Harlington cemetery in Waverly. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-7pm at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home.

An Ionia resident, 69 year old Ardyce K. Poe, passed away on Sunday. Arrangements are pending at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton.

Services for a Delhi resident, 71 year old Merlin L. Butikofer, will be held at 11am on Wednesday, December 23rd, at the United Methodist Church in Manchester. The family will greet friends from 3:30 till 7pm on Tuesday, December 22nd, at the Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester.

Henry John Farmer, infant son of Brad and Kelci Farmer, was born silently on Saturday. There will be a public gathering with the family from 4-6pm on Tuesday, December 22nd, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage. Burial will be at Stillwater Cemetery.

Services for an Oelwein woman, 67 year old Sandra Huffman, will be at 3pm on Wednesday, December 23rd, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Oelwein. Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Tuesday, December 22, at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein.

Services for an Oelwein Man, 93 year old Howard "Dutch" Troupe, will be held at 10am on Wednesday, December 23rd, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein. Visitation will be held 3-6pm on Tuesday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein. Knights of Columbus Rosary will be at 4pm at the funeral home and a Military Memorial Service at 6pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Services for a Decorah woman, 94 year old Alice Louise Wiltgen Bockman, will be held at 11am on Wednesday, December 23rd, at the Decorag Lutheran Church. Burial will be held at a later date. Friends may call after 9am at the church on Wednesday morning.

An Edgewood man, 65 year odl Don Lee "chopper" Schuldt, passed away on Saturday in Manchester. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

A McGregor resident, 83 year old Cynthia Loomis, passed away on Friday, December 18th in Monona. Arrangments are pending with Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in McGregor.

Services for a Waukon resident, 97 year old Margaret Dahlstrom, will be held on Tuesday at 11am at Center Baptis Church in rural Lansing. Burial will be in the church cemeteru\y. Friends may call from 4-7pm on Monday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.

Services for a former Oelwein resident, 34 year old Sarah Beth Larson, will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, December 22nd at Cedarloo Church of Christ in Cedar Falls. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein. Visitation will be 5-8pm on Monday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Oelwein and for one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of sending flowers, the family requests financial gifts be made at any Well Fargo Bank, and donated to the "Sarah Beth Larson Memorial Fund" for the future education of her daughter, Elsabeth.

Services for an Elma woman, 97 year old Mary Deterding, are Tuesday at 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Elma. Burial in Our Lady of Lourdes cemetery in Lourdes. Visitation is 5-7:30pm at Conway Markham funeral home in Elma, with a 7pm scriptural wake service followed by a rosary; visitation is also an hour before services at the funeral home.

Services for a Colesburg woman, 82 year old Naomi Payne, are Thursday at 10am at Leonard Muller funeral home in Edgewood. Burial in Madison cemetery in Lamont. Visitation is 3-7pm Wednesday at the funeral home, and an hour before services.
