Services for a Waukon man, 69 year old Mike Van Gorp, are Wednesday at 11am at St. Patrick Catholic church in Waukon. Burial with military honors in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Friends may call 4-7pm Tuesday at Martin funeral home in Waukon, with a 3:30pm scripture service.

A former Independence man, 84 year old Harry VanHorn, died Thursday; private graveside services will be held at Mt. Hope cemetery in Independence at a later date. Visitation is 4-8pm Monday at White funeral home in Independence.

Memorial services for a Waverly man, 83 year old Max "Tim" Wood, are Saturday (Aug. 12) at 11am at Kaiser Corson funeral home in Waverly, with military rites. Friends may call an hour before services at the funeral home.

Services for a Carlisle man, Darrell Kearney, are today, Monday at 11am at Scotch Ridge Presbyterian church.

Services for a Colesburg man, 91 year old Lowell "Jeff" Elledge, are Wednesday at 10:30am at Edgewood Bible church. Burial with military rites in Hansel cemetery. Visitation is 4-8pm Tuesday at Leonard Muller funeral home in Edgewood and an hour before services at the church.

Memorial services for a Cresco man, 80 year old Jerome Erdahl, are Wednesday at 11am at First Lutheran church in Cresco. Burial at a later date in Oak Lawn cemetery. Friends may call an hour before services at the church. Lindstrom funeral home is handling arrangements.

Services for a Decorah woman, 73 year old Yong Thorson, are Tuesday at 11am at Fjelstul funeral home in Decorah. Burial in Hesper Lutheran cemetery. Visitation is an hour before services at the funeral home.

A Celebration of Life for an Osage man, 71 year old James Castle, formerly of Minneapolis, will be Sunday from 1 to 4pm at Champion Bucheit funeral home in Osage.
