April 1st funeral announcements

Services for an Independence woman, 89 year old Edna L. Gipper, will be at 10:30am on Monday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Independence. Burial will be in Fairbank Cemetery. Friends may call for a visitation from 2-5pm on Sunday at the White Funeral Home in Independence.

Services for a Decorah resident, 76 year old Elaine M. Kappes, will be held at 11am on Monday at Notre Dame Parish in Cresco. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-11am on Monday at the church. Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home in Cresco is working with the family.

Services for an Ossian man, 86 year old Joseph Henry Schildmeyer, will be at 10:30am on Monday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Ossian. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-7pm with a 3pm Scripture Service at at the Church. There will also be a one hour visitation before Mass time at the church on Monday.

Services for a Sumner woman, 100 year old Mildred I. Haase, will be held 6pm on Monday at Becker-Milnes Funeral Chapel in Sumner. Private family inurnment will be held at Wilson Grove Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 4-6pm at the funeral home on Monday.

Services for a Lawler woman, 59 year old Rose M. Landa, will be held at 1pm on Tuesday at Conway-Markham Funeral Home Chapel in New Hampton. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Monday at Conway-Markham Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Services for a New Hampton resident, 72 year old Jerry L. Deutsch, will be held at 10:30am on Monday at Holy Family Parish in New Hampton. Interment with military honors will be st St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may greet family 4-7pm on Sunday at the Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home in New Hampton and will continue an hour prior to the Mass at the church on Monday.

Services for a former Charles City man, 65 year old Dennis "Uncle Denny" Brakel of Mason City, are Monday at 11am at Hauser funeral home in Charles City. Burial in calvary cemetery. Visitation is 2-4pm Sunday at the funeral home and an hour before services.

Services for a Guttenberg woman, 86 year old Eunice Kraus, are Wednesday at 10:30am at St. John's Lutheran church in Guttenberg. Burial in Ceres cemetery. Friends may call 4-8pm Tuesday at Tuecke Allyn funeral home in Guttenberg and an hour before services at the church.
