Northeast Iowa Man, Woman Arrested On Drug Charges

Winneshiek County authorities arrested a man and woman on multiple drug-related charges after busting up a meth lab in Ossian.

Sheriff's officials took Brian Brainard, 33, of Lansing, and Krista Reinsvold, 35, of Ossian, into custody late Saturday night. Authorities said they executed a search warrant at 119 West Main Street in Ossian and found evidence that Brainard and Reinsvold were manufacturing methamphetamine at the home.

Brainard and Reinsvold were taken to the Winneshiek County Jail. They were each booked on the following charges:

• Manufacturing of methamphetamine
• Possession of precursor ammonia nitrate with intent to manufacture
• Third-offense possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine

According to sheriff's officials, Ossian firefighters assisted law enforcement with decontaminating the house following the search.
