Northeast Iowa Driver Collides with Farm Animal
Motorists continue to watch out for deer on rural Northeast Iowa roads around dusk and dawn, however one driver apparently did not suspect the animal in his way was a bit more domesticated.
Shortly after 9:30pm Monday (June 19), the Fayette County Sheriff got a report of a vehicle that had struck a cow on Highway 18, west of West Union.
A car driven by 60 year old Craig Waskow of Royse City, Texas, was westbound; he was unable to avoid colliding with a cow in the road.
No one was injured, but there was $3,500 damage to Waskow's 2017 Chrysler.
No word on who owned the cow.
