A New Yummy Steak And Bourbon Restaurant Is Open In Eastern Iowa

There is a new steak restaurant in the Quad Cities and this one comes with a wide selection of Bourbon to pair with your beef.

Beef + Bourbon Chophouse

As you walk up to Beef + Bourbon (located at 1015 Utica Rdg Pl, Bettendorf, IA 52722) you can see just how big it is. With windows wrapping the dining area you'll be able to enjoy your steak and drink while not feeling like you are in a dark cave.

The restaurant is on the corner of Utica Ridge Rd and Spruce Hills Dr.  The location originally had "The Food Affair Bistro" as tenants but after a short time that restaurant closed.  Now, the new owners are hoping you are ready for meat, and drinks.

The Start and The Steak

It's not enough to bring up some Facebook pages and see what people say.  So on opening night, we went to check it out.

We started with the parmesan truffle fries.  Had to slow down on them cause I could have eaten these as my meal.  So tasty!

The place is called Beef + Bourbon.  So of course, they have the beef!  You are greeted when you walk in by a cooler showing some of their fine cuts.

My little one went with the sirloin and I went filet.  Both were fantastic.  Cooked right, spiced right, and as you can see below, served right.

And yes, I ate my vegetables.  They were good too!

The Menu

Plenty of options mostly, of course, focused on beef.  But they had other options including some massive pork chops and lamb.

Since opening night was a Wednesday, I didn't dive into the Bourbon.  But as you can see below they have quite a selection.

The wine list wasn't extensive but still was easily able to find a very good wine to pair with the steak.

By the end of the very filling meal, the thought of taking pictures was gone from my brain.  So I forgot to take a picture of the dessert.  However, it was very good as well and will be for the next few days as we had plenty of leftovers.

Beef + Bourbon Chophouse in Bettendorf just opened on October 25, 2023.  So like any new restaurant or business, they will have some opening/growing pains.  The staff though was super friendly and took care of us while they are getting used to the flow of customers.  Which just based on the service and hospitality and check-ins, will happen very quickly.

The restaurant business is a hard one.  Places come and go often.  Hopefully, this new great place for steak can stick around and serve the Quad Cities great beef, and bourbon, for many years to come.
